As we can see our £10.00 back bet at odds of 4.5 and lay odds of 4.6 will result in a small loss of £0.39 whether First Flow wins or loses. However if First Flow places second or third we stand to make a tasty profit. Remember the refund is in cash so we don’t need to worry about extracting any profit from a free bet.

If First Flow finishes second, third we shall make a tidy profit of £9.63. If however First Flow wins or loses outside of the required place we stand to make a small loss of £0.37.
